Long Thin Eggplant (25 Seeds, Annual)
Yields on this variety are UNREAL, we grow 8-10 plants and harvest big grocery bags full every week throughout the summer. We used to like fatter varieties of eggplants, until we grew this one, the crops are so much more plentiful, plants are easier to grow and fruits can tend to be less bitter. Eggplant Parmesan is our staple dish with this one. We also thinly slice them and broil them on a cooking tray, with oil and salt, or grill them. Fruits start off dark purple and lighten up as they mature, they are best picked at 6-10 inches (less seedy). Start seeds indoors, use a heat mat if room temperature is below 70 Fahrenheit, once transplanted outdoors, the plants LOVE water, so make sure to give them plenty. 75 Days to mature, Full Sun.
