Why We Raise Colorado Golds

For meat production, we raise Colorado Golds, a heritage-inspired breed developed and hatched by Whiting Farms in Delta, Colorado. Unlike conventional Cornish Cross birds, which often cannot reproduce and may experience health issues if kept past their recommended butcher age, Colorado Golds are strong, active foragers with the ability to reproduce naturally

They are hardy, healthy birds raised the way chickens were meant to be raised!

All of our chickens are pasture-raised on grass and fed locally sourced organic feed that is fermented to enhance digestibility and nutrition. This feeding process allows our birds to absorb more nutrients resulting in healthier animals and better-tasting, more nourishing food for your family.
